Greetings and Happy New Year! 2009 was a great year for NYCSS! We are still in the process of planning our next amazing tournament please join our mailing list and you will be the first to know about our next event.
Our past event have been great. In particular we are proud that our event has drawn so many high level grapplers from New York and as far away as Maine and Massachusetts. We at NYCSS want to thank all of the competitors and coaches that support us and hope you'll all be there for our 2010 event series.

ABOUT THE NYC SUBMISSION SHOOTOUT
The NYCSS is a no-gi submission tournament that welcomes all Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Judo, CAMBO, and freestyle grapplers of all backgrounds to determine who is the best all around submission fighter. Winners aren't determined by points or referee decisions, only by submission. And the round robin format guarantees that EVERY competitor will get multiple matches.
A new and unique safety feature allows for the use of dangerous holds in a manner that protects the safety of all the fighters and at the same time keeps everybody honest.
Best of all the tournament is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan with easy access from anywhere in the greater Tri-state area. And if you pre-register the cost is only $35!

RULES AND TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

(registration and weigh-ins begin at 8am, followed by rules meeting)
SCHEDULE: START TIME: 8:00am
Registration and weigh-ins: 8:00 am - 10:00am
Rules meeting: 10:00am
Matches Commence: Approximately 10:30am
Matches will begin with female & teen divisions then progress to novice weights, beginning with lightest and moving on to heaviest. The advanced divisions will follow next in the same order. The novice and advanced absolute divisions will be the final divisions of the day.

REGISTRATION
Pre Registration Information
You can pre-register online at our website before our next event once its date has been determined at a discount ($35 for a single division, $65 for two: your weight division and the absolute division) or in person on the day of the tournament ($65 for a single division, and $80 for two).
If you are unable to pre-register by credit card online please email us at info@nycsubshootout.com and we will direct you to an alternate method for pre-registration.
Select the Paypal icon on our website in the registration section, and you will be taken to the Paypal payment page for our tournament.
If you have a Paypal account you may use it. Alternatively, you may use a credit card by entering your information on the section provided (if you are not taken directly to the credit card page, then there will be a link at the bottom labeled “continue” for credit card payments).
If the credit card is in the name of someone other than the competitor, please email us the name of the competitor along with the name on the credit card and the number of divisions in which he/she will participate.
On the day of the tournament the competitor's name will be on the pre-registration list at the sign-in desk. There you will be directed to fill out a competition form and waiver. You may also print these out and bring them in yourself to save time.
